Naoma Kathryn Carl, 85, of Spearfish, died Tuesday, March 9, 2004 at the David M.
Dorsett Health Care Facility, Spearfish.

Memorial services were held March 13 at the Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapel in Spearfish
with the Rev. Kip Roozen officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date.

Naoma Bennett was born May 26, 1918, to George and Alice (DeBauche) Bennett at
Huron. She grew up in the Huron and Miller areas.

She married Robert Carl April 13, 1955, at Pipestone, Minnesota. The moved to Lead in
1957 and to Spearfish in 1966.

Naoma was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and of the United Methodist Church,
Lead. She enjoyed sewing, playing Bingo, doing word puzzles and spending time with
her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband Robert "Bob" Carl of Spearfish; son Charles Carl of
Spearfish; daughters, Leslie (Ed) Sewell of Spearfish, Kathy (Steve) Smith of Rapid
City, Kim (Dominic) Larive of Spearfish and Denise (David) Irwin of Gillette, Wyo.; 10
grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Mary Keck Glover and Mable
Kellar; and one brother, Harold "Bud" Bennett.
