Vincent K. Moon, 66, of Redfield, died Wednesday, May 1, 1996, at Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls.

The funeral Mass wil be at 1 p.m. today at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Redfield, with the Rev. John Fischer officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery. Thelen Funeral Home in Redfield announced arrangements.

Vincent K. Moon was born March 2, 1930, in St. Lawrence, to V. Arthur and Viola (Turner) Moon.  He graduated from St. Lawrence High School in 1948.

On January 6, 1951, he married Margorie Klapperich in Miller.  They lived in Rapid City, St. Lawrence and Huron before moving to Redfield in 1968. They owned and operated Anderson Dry Cleaners until he retired in April 1994.

He was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and 4th Degree, was past district deputy and past grand knight of the Knights.  He was past member, president and lieutenant governor of Kiwanis and was a member of the Redfield Chamber of Commerce and president in 1963 (?). He was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion, both of Redfield.

He is survived by his wife of Redfield;  three sons, Thomas (Jacalyn) of Northfield, Minnesota, Tim (Rose) of Norwalk, California, and Bill of Redfield;  five daughters, Chris (Steve) Dvorak of Spearfish, Paula Wipf of Aberdeen, Susanne (Duane) DuKart of Fargo, North Dakota, Diane (Dan) Schultz of DeSmet, and Jill (Tracy) Schroeder of Redfield;  15 grandchildren; a brother, Norman 'Gene' of Cherokee, Iowa; and a sister, Ardith (Roy) McKown of Hot Springs.

He was preceded in death by his mother in 1952 * and his father in 1968 *, a brother, a sister and two great-grandchildren.
