Pat Wyatt has much more to say about Dora, Georgina and Emily. All I want to repeat here is that they founded a school in the 1870s, which closed after Dora died in 1915. Another sister (Georgina or Emily) died in 1922 and the final one later.

Although William Bryan and Dorothy Rawleigh have no current descendants, William Bryan played a large part in the preparation of this report. That's because finding a copy of the Family Register prompted me to begin this investigation. The Family Register in Appendix 1 begins with the note:

Copied verbatim from the original in the possession of John H. Hall of Hopewell Saint Thomas in the Vale, Jamaica.

                               W. B. Hall

                               Collins Green, St Andrew

                                           May 1st 1845

W. B. Hall is William Bryan Hall. This version of the family register has been the origin of many family tree charts. Further, William Bryan continued adding to the Family Register until his death in 1860.

Why did William Bryan Hall copy the Family Register? Part of the reason must be because he and his wife are both grandchildren of John Hall and Allegonda Boom / Hall. The other part of the reason was that he and many other descendants were planning to leave Jamaica.
