Because of the rapidly growing popularity of Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) devices, a large number of people have asked me to include GPS coordinates in my descriptions of ghost towns both for locations featured in this website, as well as locations featured in my Ghost Town USA column, appearing monthly in Western & Eastern Treasures Magazine.  So with that request in mind, over the past year, I have slowly been adding them to the website as I update various pages.  Beginning with the October 2008 magazine column (being completed the weekend of May 30, 2008), I am making the column interactive for computer users by adding the hyperlink address for this page in the column.  I have elected to do it in this manner rather than clutter up the articles with the coordinates. 

 

I have to assume, you are accessing this page through the column, so you already know the month/year. To access the featured location of choice, click on the appropriate year.  Once on the page for that year, all locations mentioned in the monthly columns will be listed alphabetically by month.

 

Please note: 

• April 1984-September 2008 to be added as time permits.  I will begin by working backwards from Sep ’08. 
• As the “shelf” date of the magazine is about four months beyond the writing date of the article, I will probably have several more months online by the time the October issue hits the stands with the hyperlink. 
• If you contact me prior to that date, I know you accessed this page via Google. 
• Please let me know if you desire a complete index to all locations featured in my columns as an adjunct to this index.
