    History & Achievements :

    George Waples served in the "Kings Own 4th Regiment" and settled in the Wollongong area after discharge.
    Served for a time at Headquarters Parramatta as Servant to Capt. Robert Marsh Westmacott A.D.C.
    Purchased at Public Auction on 28th March !855 two adjoining blocks of land at Mt Kembla.Previously having lived at Westmacott's property "Woodlands" Bulli and after that as a clearing leasehold at "Berkeley" Estate.
