in Australia as part of the North Hamptonshire Regiment (48th
- Regiment of Foot) contingent, on board the
ship "Dick" on 3/11/1817 one of three ships. The"
Barque..Matilda
", and HM. ship " Lloyd's
" being the other two .
- Following 21 years of service Thomas discharged 24/2/1824. During the month of
September 1824 he is
- being shown as being in
charge of the Military Canteen at Sydney Barracks. Thomas
was issued 100 acres of land (where exactly at this point
is unknown.)
- There is no record of Thomas being issued the General Service Medal
