On 9th December, at the residence of Mrs. Lynch, Bathurst-street, Mr.
Christopher Sherlock, formerly of H.M. 99th Regiment (served in the New
Zealand War in 1846-1847), and late Javelin man at His Majesty's Gaol, aged
59 years. R.I.P. [Buried Sunday, 11 December.]
He died from heart disease according to his death certificate. (Ref:
