History
& Achievements :
- Private William Sullivan of the NSW Corp who
transferred to the 73rd Regiment when they arrived with
Macquarie. William came with his family including his
daughter Mary (b about 1805 my ancestor). He left with
the 73rd for Ceylon but was court-martialled there and
sent back to NSW as a convict. He eventually settled on
the MacLeay River and has descendants through his son
William in the area. He died in January 1860 aged 90.
