    History & Achievements :

    James Reed was stationed at 17 Mile Hollow in 1837, military barracks 1839 and the Wollongong stockade where his wife frances had children  James Reed was with the 80th Batt.  resigned when the unit was sent to India because of the Siek uprising .  James became a constable and  lived in Kent St. Sydney. Before moving to Bourke in 1862
