• ROSS James  remained in the territory (in a cemetery). He shot himself in the head accidentally whilst cleaning his masters gun on 31st July 1840.  He was then the first husband of Rachel (nee PENNY) before she later married George LAW.
• REYNOLDS Robert  discharged from the 51st light infantry in 1844 after an accident on Flinders Island, in which he fractured his leg. He returned home to England and was discharged at Chatham. He moved to London where he lived out the remainder of his life. He died in the Royal hospital Chelsea in 1897 aged 82.  Marion. marionwilliams2005@yahoo.co.uk
