    He was responsible for doing paintings of semaphore as per book by Irene SCHAFFER (Tassis researcher)   He was charged numerous times with deserting, flogged hospitalized then returned to service.   I believe when the 99th left Tasmania, he was transferred to another unit, then left the army and returned to Melbourne to live.   Buried at St Kilda, Melbourne.
