History
& Achievements :
- John Munday enlisted as a member of the 18th
Plymouth Company. He was stationed on board the ship "
Sirius" and it was on this
ship he left England for Australia. Following his arrival
in Sydney he served as a member of Captain John Shea's
company, working as a glazier to suppliment his pay..
Discharging from the marines he and his family sailed for
Norfolk Island via the ship" Atlantic"
Following discharge he recieved a grant of 60 acres. at
Grenville , Vale Sydney township . He and his family
disappeared from records after 1796
