    Born: Ireland, c 1792   Father: Lieutenant George Moore 39th Regt   Married: Elizabeth Copeland   Entered the Army as an Ensign in 31. 03.180 .   Promoted to Lieutenant 2 Jan 1810 and to Captain 14 Dec 1826   Fought in the Peninsula at Barrosa and Vittoria where he was severely wounded.   Later fought at Quatre Bras and at Waterloo.   Arrived NSW in 1835 with his wife and three children aboard Aurora.   1836 : Stationed at Cox's River (Stockade at the Junction) near Hartley, NSW   24 May 1839, retired from the Army.   1842: Appointed Magistrate of the Territory.Ref HRA Vol XXII   1843: Appointed Warden of the first Liverpool Council, NSW   Also pursued pastoral interests.   Died 1866 at Moore Bank near Liverpool NSW   Buried at Pioneers' Memorial Park, Liverpool NSW    In 1847 received Peninsular Medals for Barossa and Vittoria  and was a Waterloo veteran.
