June 1811. Discharged 25 March 1814, substitute Private
Bespant/Bepart found. wife, Catherine,
Stationed in Sydney the whole time, he had a land grant
in Millers Point and then was given a land grant
near 2nd coy until 13 March 1811 when he was reduced to
Private (2 coy), appointed sergeant
- Bathurst on discharge. He
appears to have been in Macquarie's guard. They had
several children during his stay in Sydney . He was
recorded in the 1828 census as holding 100 acres at
Bathurst Plains . Thomas was listed in 1814 as a
shopkeeper in Sydney . In 1816 the family was at Lane
Cove .
