    Vocation given as Painter of St Andrews (County Down) throughout pay lists. Born Scotland, travelled with
    Sergeant in coy again 13 June 1811. Discharged 25 March 1814, substitute Private Bespant / Bepart found. wife, Catherine,
    Stationed in Sydney the whole time, he had a land grant in Millers Point  and then was given a land grant near 2nd coy until 13 March 1811 when he was reduced to Private (2 coy), appointed sergeant
    Bathurst on discharge. He appears to have been in Macquarie's guard.  They had several children during his stay in Sydney . He was recorded in the 1828 census as holding 100 acres at Bathurst Plains . Thomas was listed in 1814 as a shopkeeper in Sydney . In 1816 the family was at Lane Cove .
