Marine Private Patrick McKewan (also McQuen) (.....1790..)

Patrick McKewan enlisted in the Royal marines as part of the 20th Plymouth Company. He served as part
of the convict guard on board the ship "Alexander" prior to its departure from England. Following his arrival he was sent to Norfolk Island on the ship " Sirius" on the 15th of September 1788 . Following the Sirius being wrecked he was returned to Sydney. He was listed as being from Ardee Parish,Louth Ireland
It is not known whether any of his family settled or if he had any family in Australia.
