    History & Achievements :

    Very little is known except the following :Thomas enlisted with the 99th Regiment on the
    14/10/1840 aged 19 years. The Regiment was at that time located at their Dublin Headquarters Royal Barracks. . Thomas was 5'7" when he enlisted. The Regiment including Thomas his wife Rosanna and their child Edward Alexander departed from West Wall Dublin to Liverpool . Then on to Chatham, and thence to Sydney . Thomas and his family arrived in Sydney Cove March 1842. Thomas served mainly in Sydney but did however serve in Newcastle . Following his discharge, Thomas, along with his family went to Tasmania. It has been shown that Thomas was a Licensed Victualler at Hampton Road in 1859 and prior to this at the Military Barracks Hobart 1857
