    History & Achievements :

    Unlimited Service.  Attestations for Regiments. I have been a Cooper, born in the Parish of Laughadien in the county of Down, aged 19.(Born 1797) Sworn at Newry 17 August 1816.   19 years old, 5ft 9'' high, fair complexion, grey eyes, black hair, fit.  Enlisted for 5 Pounds British to serve King George III in 28th Regiment of Foot commanded by Lieut Gen. Sir Edw. Paget   He served 23 years and 10 months before discharge in Sydney 28 August 1839. Promoted to Corporal in 1824.  Served several years in the Ionian Islands before coming to New South Wales.   He became a policeman.  Died May 12, 1848 at Parramatta   His connection to me:Michael Mallon - Francis Mallon(Son)1834 to 1891 - Alice Mallon(His granddaughter) 1867 to 1950 - Kenneth Colin Brown (Her son and my father)1905 to 1948.
