- MOLL Edward information from
Tizme
He was a Grenadier and was wounded on 1 July 1845 at Ohaeawai Pa in the Bay
of Islands, NZ He was discharged as a Chelsea Out-pensioner in 1848 aged
22.Edward later married after settling back in Ely, Cambridgeshire, England
where he was born - the eldest of 3 children. His wife had been Publican of
the "Round of Beef" pub but he took over the license until his death when it
reverted to her once more. He died there in 1868 . I have no idea how or
when he got to Australia, what his injuries were, or when he left NZ
