    History & Achievements :

    From 1846 when he and his wife and 3 children arrived at he served as a Surveyor with the Royal Sappers & Miners. Following his discharge after 20
    years service in 1858 he joined the South Australian Government Survey
    Department and worked for a further 20 years in that capacity
