History
& Achievements :
- Granted 25 acres of land at Windsor - lost in
floods-then granted land at Portland Head (Nth.Sackville)
butburnt out by aborigines. Granted land at Richmond Hill
which he later sold to his son-in-law John EZZEY. He
became a constable & managed the Aboriginal
Settlement at Rooty Hill. Became a gardener to Gregory
Blaxland
(the explorer) at 'Newington' near Parramatta.
He obtained a grant of land at Kurrajong Brush in 1810and
was one of the settlers who signed the address to
Governor Macquarie in December 1810
