George LAW did not remain in VDL. He
left with the last section of the Regiment, going on to
India until 1852, retiring due to ill health. He
returned to Little Houghton in
Northamptonshire with his wife Rachel (nee PENNY)
where they both died. They were married in
Launceston and had three children in Hobart.
