- Very little is know about James except the following : James arrived in
Van Diemans Land as part of Captain John D'Arcy's party
on board the ship "John Barry" on 26/8/1826. He
served with his Regiment till 24/11/1829 when he
discharged and took up a land grant at East Arm. On the
21/9/1833 he drowned with a fellow Veteran James
