Achievements :
- Very little is known about Private John Thompson with the exception of the
following, All three discharges showed his Military
conduct as being " Good"
- John's Obituary in the
Maitland Mecury on the 4th of Feb 1854 .
- " Mr Thompson , who
was an old Peninsular Soldier, was a very old inhabitant
of this neighbourhood, and his loss is greatly regretted
by a large circle of relatives and friends."
