- Very little is known about Private John Roberts except for the following
. Following his arrival in Sydney he was posted to Sydney
& Norfolk Island. His wife Sarah was transported to
Australia as a convict on board the "
Indispensible "
- They & their infant daughter Rosanna left for
India with the Regiment. John survived to the end of the
- AJCP records despite the cholera epidemic in Fort
St George , Madras. He was made a Corporal just before
the records ended.
