    History & Achievements :
    Horace Booth enlisted as a private in 1842 (don't know where), that he was at Vic Barracks Sydney in August 1850 (his daughter baptised there at that time), that he embarked for Adelaide in Feb 1851 to join   a detachment of the 11th Regt, and that he bought his discharge for 4 pounds in March 1853. The entry in the Feb 1853 muster/pay list at the time of his discharge gives his place of birth but it's barely readable (possiblyN. Brunswick,  ??Canada or USA??)
