Private John
Heyburn (Hepburn) arrived in Australia as
part of the Royal Veteran Corps on the 16/5/1828. His previous military service
was 7 years with an unknown Regiment . He enlisted as a member of
number 3 company company of this Regiment . Number 3 company was
transferred to Tasmania arriving on board the ship "John
Barry " 26th of August 1828 with John serving there until his
discharge.
