- Thomas Halfpenny enlisted in the Royal Marines as
a member of the 35th Portsmouth Company,
- . Thomas was stationed on board the " Sirius
" and on the 4th of May 1787 set sail for Australia.
he was onboard only one day prior to the ship sailing as
a replacement. Following his arrival , he was detached
to the Port Jackson Garrison . October the 26th 1791
,Thomas went via the "Atlantic" to Norfolk
Island to settle and was granted 60 acres at Arthur's
Vale.
- Left Norfolk Island on the 10th of April 1796 via
the ship " Supply". In Parramatta and surrounds
he
- rented land and sold goods to the government
stores . In March of 1809, Thomas held a wine and Spirit
Licence at Parramatta.
