He embarked with the Regiment on 17th November 1832 for New South Wales, Australia, aboard thewhere Captain Richard Daniells, 2 Capts., 3 Lts., 1 Surgeon and 116 Privates disembarked to take over from the 63rd Regiment who were leaving for India.  There were also 20 women and 30 children who disembarked with the Regiment.  Captain Daniells was sworn in as the Lieutenant Governor of W.A. on 14 September 1833.   I am a Historian and the soldier I am trying to find is Private John Haggarty (Hagarty), who arrived with his wife .  He stayed here in Perth until his discharge in 1840 and then beame a Warder and Goaler at the Fremantle Prison and also Convict Establishments.  He then became a prolific land holder both here in Western Australia and South Australia.
