recorded as deserting from the Regiment in which they
served. There is more than a strong possibilty these men
eventually settled. We have included them as they

deserted, many were treated worse than the convicts were.
Pte 80th 21yrs, 5'6 1/2", fresh complexion, brown
hair, hazel eyes; deserted 2 Feb l843, Sydney; enlisted 6
Aug 1840, Sillengton, Sussex; carpenter.
