Thomas was married to Maria (nee Brown) and they married in Woolwich, Kent abt 1837.  Thomas was a "gunner and driver" with the Royal Artillery stationed in Woolwich Dockyard Barracks in 1841.  They had 2 sons Thomas jnr and George who I suspect were born before arriving in Tassie.  Their daughter Jane was born in Launceston on 29.04.1853 and I believe they left Tasmania for Queensland in the mid 1860's.
