History
& Achievements :
- Patrick Connell began his military life as a
member of the 24th Plymouth Company Division of the Royal
- Marines. . During the voyage to Port Jackson
,Patrick was court martialled for insolence and sentenced
to recieve 100 lashes. He was a member of the 6th
Plymouth Company during the voyage. Following his arrival
in Port Jackson he served as part of Captain James
Campbell's Company and was sent to Norfolk Island on the
4th of March 1790 via the ship "Supply" .
Following his discharge he recieved a grant of 60 acres
at the Queenborough Path Norfolk Island . During his stay
at Norfolk Island he became a member of the Norfolk
Island Settlers Society
