- From 1.1.1853 to 31.3.1853 Patrick was in Sydney,
pay 15/-, good conduct pay was also 15/-.This was for
three months.
- The Regiment was in Ballarat from July-Sept 1852.
- Embarked for Service on 23rd February
- On the Melbourne muster for 1856, 1857, 1858
- Good Conduct pay was increased from one penny a
day to twopence a day from 2/10/1856, and to threepence a
day in September 1860.
- On 5/4/1858, Patrick was paid 5 days on the
Melbourne muster because he was going to Adelaide He
spent 4 days on the ship.
- In the March 1858 muster he was on guard duty.
May 1859, was in hospital for 6 days. The ship was the
Havilah, under Captain Blyth and arrived in Adelaide on
the 10.4.1858. Its arrival was recorded in the Adelaide
Time 10.4.1858, p2a
- 17/7/1860, he was promoted to Corporal.
- He and Ann Shortliff lived in the barracks in
Adelaide where Patrick died on the 10th
Feb, 1862of apoplexy. He was 35 years old.
They had 4 children born between 1855 and 1860.
