    History & Achievements :

    Private George Chesslett enlisted as part of the 60th Plymouth Company . Whilst stationed in England he
    served on board the ship " Crown " from 1784 until 1785. Upon his arrival in Port Jackson he was attached to Captain James Meridith . Following his discharge in September 1788 he worked as a ' tollerable sawyer' . On the 9th of April 1792 he enlisted with the Royal New South Wales Corps. Discharged on the 30th of December 1796, recieved a grant of 25 acres at Toongabbie
