- History &
Achievements :
- Deserted the Regiment on 4th June 1849, brought
back under escort on 23rd June 1849, tried and convicted
by Court Martial imprisoned on 16th July, 1849, released
on 25th August 1849 and he rejoined his regiment. On the
9 th April 1857 his service that was forfeited by
conviction of desertion was reinstated. He came to
Australia with his Regiment on the Vulcan in 1852 . He
went to Hobar town Tasmania with his Regiment and served
as a Mounted Orderly to the Governor of Tasmania until
1866 and applied for a discharge from the Regiment on 6
February 1867, receiving a pension on completion of 21
years and 101 days of service
