    History & Achievements :

There are a few anomalies with William, my first information is when he married Maria Leeson in Mudgee, 1858 and they had 2 sons, on the marriage record he gives his name as William Charles.  He seems to have left the Mudgee district early 60's and he marries Ellen Sherlock in 1867  giving his name as William Charles Edward Burett, bootmaker, Age 39, residence, Bokira River.  He gives his father's name as Joseph Ambrose Burdett, naval Officer and mother Sarah Bernard.

He died June 7, 1891 at Gooar near Yarrandah age 66 years.  His son in law stated in the death certificate that he had lived 40 years in Victoria , NSW and Qld.
