& Achievements :
- Marine Private Ralph Brough enlisted in the 5th
Company of the Royal Marines. Following
- his arrival in Port Jackson he was attached to
Watikin Tench's Company. Whilst in Sydney he worked and
was paid as a carpenter. On the 6th of June 1789 Ralph
was sent to Norfolk Island on board the ship "
Supply". He was promoted to Corporal but was soon
reduced in rank for supplying spirits to two females.
