- Marine Private Thomas Bramwell enlisted in the Ist Marines 6th
Plymouth Company of the Royal Marines.
- Following his arrival in Port Jackson he was
attached to Captain James Campbell's Company. Whilst in
Sydney on the 11th of February 1788 Thomas was sentenced
to recieve 200 lashes for beating Elizabeth Needham. She
had refused his advances.
- Following his discharge he established an 60 acre
farm at the Cascade Stream Phillipsburg Norfolk Island
- 26th of October 1791. Thomas left Norfolk Island
on the 7th of March 1793 aboard the ship
"Kitty". On the 25th of March he enlisted in
the Royal New South Wales Regiment. Following his
discharge he recieved a grant of 150 acres at Bankstown
& also held 30 acres at Mulgrave Park
