    History & Achievements :
    George Barr, was the chief warder on Rottnest 1850`s 1860`s. . Also always believed he had served in India. George Barr was married in Fremantle in 1860 and died in Perth 22/08/1876. He married Sarah Jane Kennedy and was buried in the Old East Perth Cemetery, as was his wife, who died 19th/06/1898. They were later exhumed and there is a gravestone in Karrakatta, possible erected by their son James.
