- Marine Private Isaac Archer enlisted in the 20th
Portsmouth Company 1st Royal Marines . Following his
- arrival in Port Jackson he was attached to
Captain James Campbell's Company. Isaac's name appears on
a protest letter with several others complaining of the
stoppage of the Grog allowance.
- Following his discharge he established an 80 acre
farm at the Field of Mars on 3rd of February
- 1792. He married his wife Sarah in June of 1794.
By 1800 he owned a further 15 acres at The Field of Mars
Sydney & eventually owned a total of 240 acres.
- In 1828 he and Sarah were recorded as house
holders in Clarence Street in Sydney. He passed away in
- 1836 at the age of 82. He was at this time still
listed as a householder at Clarence Street. Isaac did not
re-join the Royal New South Wales Regiment as others had.
