- Private George Alcock of 99th
Reg was stationed in NSW in 1843 and spent 4 years in New
Zealand from 1844 to 1847. He returned to Sydney in July-September
1847. He was discharged in Sydney on 31 October 1847
receiving a free discharge with 9 months gratiuty pay.
His place of birth was shown as Dunse, Berwick (Scotland).
His date of enlistment was 21 September 1833. So
George Alcock of th 99th Regiment and George Alcock of
the 51st Regiment are not the same and one person.
