    Captain, an officer in the Royal Staff Corps from 1809. He had nine years on
    Full pay and ten on half pay. He came to Australia to take up the position
    Of Deputy Surveyor-General, which he held from 1829-1852.
    Both men Perry and Dumaresq were involved in the return of the horses from Paris to Venice
    After Napoleon had been defeated.
