& Achievements :
- He was discharged from the army on
24th February, 1826. He may have transferred to the
Police. He was a Constable at Parramatta when
he was dismissed on 14/6/1826, then appointed Constable
again in June, 1827. He was appointed
Constable at Windsor in August, 1827. He was
dismissed there a bit later and then reappointed a little
later gain. He made an arrest of three
highway robbers in 1828 and then dismissed again for
drunkedness in 1829. (Definitely sounds as
though he was a bit of a lad!) In 1826, Edward and
family were living in Cumberland Street, Sydney.
Edward died at the age of 55 years and was buried on 27.11.1837.
Don't know where he ws buried - the death certificate
says the ceremony was performed at St. Phillips, Sydney.
Edward had received a land grant at Windsor Road
in Parramatta on 3/9/1823, . Australia - Mary Ann
was born in 1823 and Jane Charlotte in 1826.
