History & Achievements :

 Jeremiah was B. abt 1793 in Tipperary, Ireland and D. 19-2-1864 in Sydney, buried 20th Feb 1864 Catholic . He married in 1836 in Corfu to Catherine B.1790 D.1864. They lived at Corpe St.Wooloomooloo. Had 2 children Jeremiah B.1820 in Gibraltar West Indies. and Eliza B.1823 in Ireland

Jeremiah (snr) enlisted in 98Reg at Limerick 14-4-1813, age 20 yrs, he was a whitesmith by trade, Promoted to Corporal in 1814 and transferred to 11th Reg. as Sgt. in 1818. Reduced to private 7-7-1830 and promoted to armourer and Sgt.1832. Served in the 3rd Battery 24th Brigade Royal Artillery.htm

He was discharged in Sydney 1835 due to disability from age and poor vision. He served in Gibralter, Portugal, Ionian Islands, Canada and Australia. His death cert. in Australia for 16 yrs
