KNOW all men by these Presents that I John Wilson the Elder of Bottesford in the County of Leicester Yeoman am held and firmly bound to Thomas Vincent and Thomas Spalton the Churchwardens of said Parish of  and to John Hand and William Huthwaite the overseers of the poor of the same Parish in the Sum of one hundred pounds of good and lawful Money of Great Britain to be paid to the Said Thomas Vincent Thomas Spalton John Hand and William Huthwaite or to their certain Attorney Executors Administrators or Successors for which payment well and truly to be made I bind myself my Heirs Executors and Administrators firmly by these Presents sealed with my Seals Dated this seventeenth day of December in the sixtieth Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third and in the Year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and nineteen.
Whereas Sarah Pollard  of Bottesford aforesaid Singlewoman is now with Child or Children which is likely to be born a Bastard or Bastards and to be chargeable to the said Parish of Bottesford and she hath declared the above bounden John Wilson to be the putative Father thereof

Now therefore the Condition of this Obligation is such that if the above bounden John Wilson his Heirs Executors or Administrators do and shall from time to time and at all times hereafter fully and clearly save harmless and keep indemnified as well the above named

Churchwardens And overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Bottesford as also all and singular other Inhabitants and Occupiers of Lands and Tenements of and in the same Parish for the time being and of and from all and all Manner of Costs Suits Troubles Damages Expences and Demands whatsoever which they or either of them shall or may at any time or times hereafter sustain expend or be put unto for by reason of the lying in of her the said Sarah Pollard with such Child or Children as aforesaid or the Maintenance Education and bringing up of the said Child or Children as aforesaid when born or any other Matter or Thing touching or concerning the same or in anywise relating thereunto Then the above written Obligation to be void and of none Effect or else to be and remain in full force and Virtue
