KNOW all men by these Presents we John Green the Younger of Easthorp in the Parish of Bottesford in the County of Leicester Yeoman and John Green the Elder of Orston in the County of Nottingham Farmer are held and firmly bound to Thomas Dewy John Scrimshaw Thomas Vincent and Francis Lamb the Churchwardens and overseers of the poor of the Poor of the Parish of Bottesford aforesaid in the Sum of one Hundred Pounds of good and lawful Money of Great Britain to be paid to the said Thomas Dewy John Scrimshaw Thomas Vincent and Francis Lamb or to their certain Attorney Executors Administrators Successors or Assigns For which Payment to be well and faithfully made we bind ourselves and each of us by himself for the whole Sum jointly and severally our and each of our Heirs Executors and Administrators and every of them firmly by these presents Sealed with our Seals Dated this seventeenth day of December the forty seventh  Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third by the Grace of God of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland King Defender of the faith and in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and six
Whereas Mary Watts of Bottesford aforesaid Singlewoman is now with Child which is likely to be born a Bastard and to be chargeable to the parish of Bottesford aforesaid and she hath declared the above bounden John Green the Younger to be the putative Father thereof Now therefore the Condition of this Obligation is such that if the above bounden John Green the Younger and the John Green the Elder do or shall payor cause to be paid to the said Churchwardens and overseers of the poor of the said parish of Bottesford or to some or one of them the Sum of one Guinea for and towards the lying inof the said Mary Watts and for the Maintenance of the said Bastard Child and other incident Expences to this Time And do and shall likewise pay or cause to be paid to the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the Parish of Bottesford for the Time being or to some or one of them the Sum of two shillings and sixpence Weekly and every Week from this present time for and towards the Cloathing Maintaining and keeping of the said Bastard Child for and during so long a time as the same shall be chargeable to the said parish of Bottesford Then this Obligation to be void or else to remain in full force and virtue
