This postcard mounted photo in the possession of P. Davidson-Peters, is the home of James Asbury Moore, son of Thomas A. Moore who had been born in Harrison Co., Ohio in 1838 and came to St. Louis by 1860. There he met and married Clarissa Vanbergen Pilcher who was born in Springfield, Illinois in 1845 and was the daughter of Ezekiel and Louisa (Ballard).

James Asbury was the second son of Tom and Clara. He was born 04 May 1873 in St. Louis, Missouri and was named after his father's good friend and real estate agent, Asbury Judlin. He married Lydia Harzmeier in about 1902, she having been born 22 Mar 1884 and was the daughter of William "Henry" and his German wife Mathilda (Weber). After James' death, she married Albin H. Johnson. Lydia died in St. Louis on 17 Apr 1947.

The date of this photo is not known, but pre-dates the date of James' death which occurred on 02 Nov 1912.
