MEETING OF THE SURVIVING PATRIOTS OF THE WAR OF 1812 AT ST. LOUIS - PENSIONS DESIRED
 
St. Louis - January 8
The surviving patriots of the War of 1812, residing in this state, met here to-day. Quite a number were present, and many sent letters regretting their inability to attend. GENERAL RANNEY, of St. Louis, presided. The object of the meeting was to draft a memorial to Congress asking that all surviving soldiers of the War of 1812 be placed on the pension list. This object was accomplished, and the meeting adjourned. The ages of those present, ranged from 72 to 91.
