Boston, frontispiece in "Homes of American Statesman" ( New York 1854).
In
1970, this same photo went for $190 at a Strober Sale. House to the left
is publishers house, Little Brown.House is gone now, wing of state capital
is in that position now. MA state archives have other period photos showing
other angles.This was proported to be the earlist America Book to contain
a photograph.
