This vintage 2
sided enameled outdoor metal sign is marked The Scioto Sign
Co. Kenton O. In researching the sign, I find that it is
related to my home town of Springfield, Mass. The 4 Tait
brothers owned what is described as the largest ice cream
company in Springfield. They apparantly were involved in the
development of the famous Gee Bee racing airplane at the old
Spfld. airport and the Venetian name is taken from the name of
an old dancing pavilion on the airport grounds. The mounting
flange is broken off but still it`s a nice sign. This is not a
reproduction. Measures 9 X 14 3/4 inch. Buyer pays shipping.
