Name forms

The vast majority of persons bearing the name of "Frost" in this country are the descendants of one of the following persons who landed in America between the years 1634 and 1785. These, named in the order of their arrival, are as follows:

1. Nicholas Frost, Kittery, ME (1634)
2. Edmund Frost, Cambridge, MA (1635)
3. William Frost, Fairfield, CT (1639)
4. William and James Frost, Plymouth, MA (1670)
5. Rev. Thomas Frost, Charleston, SC (1785)

My Frost line is that of William Frost (III), which is often confused and erroneously combined with that of Edmund (II). This is probably because of the similarity of names in both lines -- especially the marriages with women named "Thomasine". William's father, Edward, married a Thomasine [Belgrave?]. Edmund's wife was also named Thomasine.
